Cherished Blogfest
Celebrate the Small Things
Celebrate the Small Things is hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner, and Tonja Drecker.
How would you spend an unexpected free afternoon?
Today, I'm taking part in two blog hops: the Cherished Blogfest (CBF16) and Celebrate the Small Things. Cherished BlogfestThis summer seems to be passing by with warp speed. One thing I've come to cherish this July is time. Time with family (see last week's post about our big reunion), time to work on my next novel (revisions are going slow but steady), and time to relax with an occasional Sudoku puzzle. You can find other Cherished bloggers here. Celebrate the Small ThingsThe small thing I am celebrating this week is an interview and a Pandemic paperback giveaway over at Book Lover's Life. You can join the celebration by entering the giveaway here. Celebrate the Small Things is hosted by Lexa Cain, L.G. Keltner, and Tonja Drecker. Is your summer going too slow, too fast, or just right?

Time and health, much more valuable than money. We are in the dog days in Texas so folks are already beginning to think about fall. We value our glorious spring and have mixed feelings about summer. Teachers and kids want to prolong it, parents want it to go on and on and at the same time will be glad when the kids are back in school. Me, being retired and lucky enough to have comfortable air conditioning, I just take it one day at a time.
I think we all cherish our time because it goes by so fast. I've been saying "there's not enough time in the day" a lot lately, so I'm happy when I can simply sit and relax and read posts like yours. Thanks for participating in the Cherished Blogfest! 7/29/2016 04:02:23 pm
Unexpected free time? I'd probably write. That's what I always do anyway! Time with family and progress on a new project are great things to cherish. I'm sorry I didn't know about your book giveaway otherwise I'd have put it in this week's Foxy's Freebies. Your book sounds amazing! If you have another giveaway, don't forget to let me know so I can plug it for you! 7/30/2016 08:43:04 am
Unexpected free time? I would either catch up on some writer's work, go on a long bike ride, or take a nap. I'm looking forward to September to actually have some quiet time. That sort of anticipation tends to slow time down, but our summer is going pretty well.
Yvonne, the summer is a mixed bag for me, mostly because, although I enjoy not having to wear an uncomfortable coat and the foliage is beautiful, there are so many exposures, both natural and chemical, I'm indoors most of the time anyway :-\ Thank God for air-conditioning! I just wish it didn't hurt the planet :( 7/30/2016 10:07:43 am
How nice to have some slow time! It does race by if it can, but it sounds like you have it under control at the moment :)

It does seem as if summer is soon to be a memory. Kids will go back to school. The days will shorten, and we'll all wonder where the blackberry season of 2016 went. 7/30/2016 03:39:43 pm
Thank you for the reminder that summer should be a time for slow-down and relaxed, and for entering our Cherished Blogfest! 7/31/2016 09:44:54 am
As always, summer is flying by way too fast for me. I agree with others, good health and time with family are top of the list as to what's important! 8/1/2016 05:20:05 pm
The summer is flying by way too fast. If I had a free afternoon I would most definitely write. Congrats on your interview and great review! 8/1/2016 11:47:40 pm
Quality time is surely worth cherishing. I also like the photo of all the watches as I've had some lovely watches over the years myself. 8/3/2016 11:22:59 am
There's a reason I write about time manipulation. =) (More than just because of the time machine in my basement...) If only we could find a way to freeze the seconds enough to cherish each one. Comments are closed.
