About the Author
Welcome to Yvonne Ventresca's web site. It's designed to help writers, especially those who write for children. There is also a section for kids who write called Young Writer Resources.
Yvonne is the author of two books: Avril Lavigne (2007) is part of Lucent Books' People in the News series, and Publishing (2005) is part of their Careers for the Twenty-First Century series. She has also written over 30 articles for various print and online publications, such as ByLine, FolksOnline, and Bridges Career Explorer Online. She is currently working on a middle grade novel.

About Avril Lavigne:
Yvonne's biography of Avril Lavigne became available early in 2007. It includes information about Avril's childhood, how she got her recording contract, the issues she encountered making her first CD, and her fast rise to fame. It also details her recent films and other projects. Yvonne used hundreds of articles as well as interviews (such as with former drummer Matthew Brann) to research Avril's story.
